The Pune Hams (VU2RCP) successfully conducted their monthly Eyeball QSO on 8th March 2026, bringing together Hams and SWLs for a morning of fellowship, technical learning, and lively discussions.
Highlights of the Session
- The gathering began with networking over High Tea, with breakfast generously sponsored by OM Virendra Kelkar (ex‑VU33VK).
- OM Sooraj (VU3ZAG) introduced the proposed workshop on home‑brewing a 7 MHz QRP Transceiver, based on the LARCSet – vg HF Signals project. His talk inspired members to explore practical home‑construction of HF rigs.
- OM Arvind (VU3HUF) presented the Ham Clock application — a versatile tool for every Ham Shack. He explained its features for tracking propagation, DX clusters, and time zones. The project is now hosted at HamClock.com, with source code available on GitHub for continued support and development.
- OM Indrajeet (VU3ZGO) shared his experiences from the GMRT National Science Day event, giving members a glimpse of how Amateur Radio was showcased to the scientific community and the public.
- The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where members exchanged ideas and clarified technical queries.
