The Pune Hams (VU2RCP) successfully organized the LARCSet Workshop on Sunday, 10th May 2026, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Padmashree, Sahakari Vasahat, Nal Stop, Karve Road, Pune.
Inauguration
- The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Vishwas Udpikar of Sci‑Com Software, the team behind the SDR HF Transceiver developed for the Indian Navy.
- His presence highlighted the importance of innovation and practical applications of amateur radio technology.
Workshop Focus
- The LARCSet transceiver kit from HF Signals was the centerpiece of the program.
- Designed by Ashhar Farhan (VU2ESE) and Sasi Bhushan (VU2XZ), the kit is an all‑analog SSB/CW transceiver that is inexpensive, easy to build, and ideal for self‑learning and experimentation.
- The workshop was conducted by OM Sooraj Shenoy (VU3ZAG), Pune Hams’ proud homebrewer.
Learning Resources
- Participants were guided through step‑by‑step assembly using detailed video tutorials created by OM Sooraj.
- The videos covered construction stages, PA settings, and safe operation.
- These resources ensured that all 10 homebrewers could successfully build their first LARCSet transceiver.
