Around 30 Hams and SWLs attended the meeting including Visiting ham VU2VQY OM Vijay Das from Mysore.

SWL Virendra Kelkar shared his journey of ASOC Exam from start to End. It was a valuable guidance for new Hams.

Pune Hams VU2RCP proud of OM Parth, VU3ZNE, for the recent announcement by InRaSS for the Publication of his paper in the URSI-RCRS 2024 proceedings in IEEE Xplore on his 21cm Radio Telescope. Dr Vishwas Udpikar, MD of SciCom, felicitated him. OM Parth made the 21cm Radio Telescope in his factory

The BoxVox, cost effective APRS interface, was demonstrated by OM Parth
It requires only VHF Handy and Android Phone
Such 10 units will be produced and distributed for increasing the population of Pune’s APRS users

The star attraction of the Eyeball was Presentations by MiT’s Cosmos club.

The following topics were presented by Cosmos club students

A: MiT’s Weather Station Setup for VU2RCP APRS

B: Radio Astronomy & HAM Radio Synergy
Speaker: Harsh Jagtap

Ongoing Radio astronomy work and HAM Radio for detecting celestial radio signals.

C: Setting MiT HAM Radio club station
Speaker: Parth Jichkar
Progress update on the club’s HAM Radio station

D: Emergency Communication & Disaster Management
Speaker: Manthan Jikadara
Discussion on HAM’s role in emergency response and plans to establish a basic disaster communication network in MiT campus.

All the students did excellent preparations for above presentations

All the presentations were interactive

SWL Parimal Dave demonstrated a Robotic Telescope where all observed sunspots
Parimal talked about Sunspot activity and its impact on Earth. It was a well received talk

The next Eyeball QSO meeting will be on Sunday 7th December 2025
