The HAM Radio Field Day was successfully organized on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at ARAI Hill, near the parking area before the ARAI / Vetal Tekdi parking lot. The event was conducted from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and was open to all, with free entry for participants of all age groups.
Agenda:
- Setup of the station by 4:30 PM
- Get on air along with visitors (from 4:30 PM to 6:45 PM)
- Question and answer session, general discussions, and informal interactions (throughout the event)
- Pack-up by 7:00 PM
The station setup was completed in a record time of 10 minutes.
The gathering saw active participation from amateur radio operators VU3YEJ(OM Kunal) and VU3VJS(OM Vishal), along with six Short Wave Listeners (SWLs). The session provided an engaging platform for SWLs to experience live amateur radio communication. Participants were given the opportunity to interact directly with other HAM operators, enhancing their understanding and interest in the hobby.
During the event, a total of 10 successful radio contacts were logged, marking a productive session for all attendees. A special note of appreciation goes to VU3TOH (OM Ranjit) for his valuable support in facilitating conversations for the SWLs and encouraging their participation.
Overall, the event was informative, interactive, and well-received, contributing positively to the promotion of amateur radio activities among enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
