Pune Hams (VU2RCP) organised Field Day on 10/11 September at Iskcon Temple Kodewadi,Velhe, 60 Kms south of Pune. 11 Hams and SWLs left home on Saturday 10th Sept 22 early morning in 3 cars and reached the Iskcon Temple around 11:00 AM. All were Welcomed by Iskcon Temple devotees.

S57 MAP is an Iskcon Temple devotee. His earlier Yugoslavia call sign was YU3DLO.
After the war in Yugoslavia he changed the call sign, came to India & settled in Pune. Married Indian having one girl child. He is a very good Pilot. Now member of Pune Hams
On arrival at Kodewadi Iskcon Temple, the team installed 3 Antenna viz. G5RV all band HF Antenna.Delta loop for 20 Mitra and Trapped dipole for 40 Mitra. The two Antennas were Hmebbrewed by VU2ANM which gave excellent Performance. Commodore Ashish is always well prepared for any activity. He is an avid Home brewer and very good carpenter. OM Ashish is an Asset of Pune Hams group and always ready to support newcomers and students. Hats off to his innovations and dedication to hobbies
Mangesh VU2OOM fired his Icom IC7300 with an automatic Antenna tuner to check the Antenna performance around 12 noon. Established good dx contacts on FT8 mode with excellent reports.

We all gathered for Lunch break around 1:00PM. The temple kitchen prepared hot veg food to fill out stomachs. After lunch we sat down in a circle and introduced ourselves to each other with a lot of Technical discussions.
After the Tea Break at 5:00 PM, 20 Mtr operation till late night.
Lots of VUs Dx stations and FT8 mode brought excitement among participants. After a light dinner the first day‘s operation ended.
The next day all got up around 6:00 AM and started 40 Mtr operation. VU2BRJ OM Joshi from Sharad made several announcements about Field Day in Bhim net.All enjoyed 40 Mtr operation.
All SWLs were excited to get Ham License and newcomers enjoyed their First QSO. The sr Hams gave very good guidance with a lot of practice sessions.
