Pune Hams celebrated Friendship day in monthly meet today morning.
The meeting started with discussions on connecting VHF Repeater VU2ETD to Echolink. The enclosed hardware designed by VU2POP was seen & studied by all members. The team is formed by Milind VU2MSB and by 10th Aug it will be ready in all respects. On 11th Aug. It will be installed on Repeater which will be operational 24 x 7. It will help visiting Hams to participate in Pune’s VHF Net.
The Friendship day celebrations started by shaking hands followed by Snacks and Tea.
Sweets were distributed by youngest YL Ham Monika Kulkarni VU3OPZ to celebrate her first Job assignment.
OM Milind VU2MSB started his presentation using MFJ – 259B Antenna analyzer. He explained basics of VSWR, Resonance, Impedance matching, co-axial cable impedance measurement & it’s losses, reason for such losses etc. His practical way of teaching was very well appreciated by young as well as senior most Ham Keki (VU2KI. lic No-333). OM Keki also shared lot of technical technical tricks of Antenna matching without using costly equipment. His Air force story about installing and firing transceiver within 15 minutes was very interesting.
